Farm Field on a Full Moon

This week, Guide Kaleb led a Father-and-Son Hunting duo on an exciting 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunting adventure.

Night One

Under a bright full moon and cooler temps, the night started with plenty of deer sightings. After a careful stalk, the group located a Sounder of Hogs and successfully harvested two. Later, they spotted another group of Wild Hogs, but it was on neighboring property, so they could only watch from a distance. The crisp breeze and great company made for a memorable first night.

Night Two

The evening kicked off with more deer before the team came across hogs in the second field. Two were secured early on, followed by another quick stalk, though that Hog made it to cover just in time. The rest of the night was quiet, but the father and son left with smiles, already planning their return Hog Hunting Trip next year.

This Hog Hunt also included our Hunting Video Package—stay tuned for the highlight reel coming soon!

At Pig Problem, every Hog Hunt is a new challenge—and Guide Kaleb recently led a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt that reminded us just how unpredictable and exciting Wild Hog Hunting can be.

Hog Hunting in Georgia is more than just a night out in the field—it's a battle of wits against one of the Smartest, Most Destructive Animals in the South. These invasive Wild Hogs are tearing up farmland across the state, and our job is to track them down using cutting-edge technology and good old-fashioned hunting instincts.

That’s where Thermal Hog Hunting comes in. With High-Tech Thermal and gear, we scan the fields in total darkness, looking for heat signatures as Pigs move through the crops. Thermal gear doesn’t just give us an edge—it makes Night Hunting possible. And Hunting Hogs at Night is often the only way to catch them in action. They’re nocturnal, cautious, and constantly adapting to avoid pressure.

Kaleb and the crew stayed on the move over two nights, carefully glassing fields, tracking patterns, and following signs. Even when the pigs aren’t where we expect them, we learn something every single night. That’s part of what makes Pig Hunting so addicting—it’s never the same twice.

Whether you’re an Experienced Hunter or just getting started, Guided Thermal Hog Hunts give you a chance to step into the night with the right gear, the right guide, and the right strategy to take on Georgia’s Hog Problem.

Book your hunt today—and come experience the thrill of wild hog hunting after dark.

Summer Hunting In Georgia

Guide Kaleb recently led an unforgettable two-night Thermal Hog Hunt filled with action, laughs, and surprises.

Thermal Coyote Hunts

Night 1 started slow, but things quickly picked up. The group spotted a Group of Six Pigs that never paused long enough for a clean setup. Not long after, a Massive Bobcat wandered through the field—followed by a surprise visit from a curious Coyote. The team made a long, patient stalk and took a chance at over 200 yards. As the night wound down, the skies lit up with what Kaleb described as the biggest comet he’s ever seen. Wild stories and laughter wrapped up the night.

Night 2 brought results. Kaleb called this pair of Hunters some of the best he’s guided—nonstop jokes and good energy. After checking a few empty fields, they moved to a large peanut field where Kaleb, spotting from above, saw a Lone Pig—then, moments later, a whole Sounder in the distance. The team opted to go for the group and made a stalk of over 1,000 yards. Their patience paid off, landing two Wild Hogs and a third hit that got away. After plenty of photos and laughs, they packed out nearly all the meat themselves. The rest of the night was quiet, aside from some deer and coyotes chasing mice.

This Wild Hog Hunt was full of everything that makes Hog Hunting what it is—strategy, surprises, and great company. And according to the guys, they’ll definitely be back.

The pictures say it all. This was a Birthday Hunt and this young man’s First Hunt and we are happy it could be with us at Pig Problem. Not long into the night, they spotted a small Sounder of Pigs. One was re-homed in the field while another made it to the tree-line. You could see he was hooked right away. Buck fever was real.

Later, they moved northwest to avoid the weather and found another Wild Hog, but it got spooked by a car. An hour later, back in the same field, a Big Lone Boar was hanging out. They made the stalk, adrenaline was pumping, and the Young Hunter re-homed the Pig on the run.

It was a night to remember. The family said they’ll definitely be back. In the dad’s words: “You made this night special—thank you.”

Hunting Pigs In Georgia

Pig Problem

Two Nights in Georgia with Guided by Capt Clayton

Hunting is unpredictable. Some nights, the Pigs are everywhere. Other nights, it’s just you, the fields, and the waiting game. This past 2 Night Thermal Hunt with Guide Capt Clayton had a little bit of everything - some frustration, some bad luck, and ultimately, a couple of successful chances.

Night One:

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: One Hog Down @PigProblem

The first night out was slow. Real slow. Just one Wild Pig spotted all night long. A Coyote and a Possum crossed our path, but now they can’t do that anymore... The one Hog that did show up didn’t make it out either. Clayton wasn’t feeling his best, and by the end of the night, the only thing on my mind was hoping he wouldn’t wake up sick.

Night Two:

Guided Hog Hunting

Photo: Got Em @PigProblem

The Hog Hunt started with a different kind of loss - Guide Claytons $400 ear protection. After searching high and low, finally he found them… in the washing machine. So now, he gets to spend another $400 replacing something he already had. Gotta love it.

As for the Wild Hog Hunt, the Pigs weren’t exactly cooperative. Only one showed up on there side, and he was sound asleep when they found him. He didn’t stay that way for long. A quick wake-up call, and he was down for good. Meanwhile, the Thermal picked up a whole group of hogs in an orchard where they couldn't step foot. All we could do was watch as they did what Wild Hogs do best - eat and cause destruction.

Now, back home, Peanut Protector Guide Capt Clayton was winding down with some YouTube gum videos, keeping him entertained, and calling it a wrap on another Thermal Hunt. Some nights are packed with action, others test your patience - but that’s the way it goes in the world of thermal hog hunting.

Some Hog Hunts stand out not just for the number of Hogs rehomed but for the way they it goes down. When Guide Zev took four Hunters out for a 2 Night Hunt run, he knew pretty quick - these guys were locked in.

That’s about as high a compliment as you’ll get from him. And it was well-earned.

Over two nights, the team relocated five Wild Hogs. The wind was a problem, shifting when it wasn’t supposed to, costing them some opportunities. But that’s Hog Hunting - adapt or go home. These guys stayed on point, made their chances count, and got it done.

If you want to see what a real Thermal Hog Hunt looks like, book your Hunting Trip with Pig Problem. Bring your A-game, and maybe - just maybe - you’ll get Zev’s seal of approval too.

Hogs rehomed & Sheds Found

At Pig Problem, we don’t just take you Hog Hunting - we take you on a Hunting Adventure. Whether it’s Spotting Wild Hogs through Thermal Equipment, sneaking through fields under the cover of darkness, or stumbling across unexpected treasures, every Hog Hunt has a story.

Recently, Guide Capt Clayton led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for three Hunters who made the trip down to Americus, Georgia, to experience the thrill of Thermal Hunting. And let’s just say, the night did not disappoint.

Three Hunters, Three Hogs

Hog Hunting

Right from the start, these guys were locked in. After a solid game plan and some patient stalking, they got into position and let the thing that relocates the Hogs do the talking. The results? Three Wild Hogs rehomed - two in one setup and another on a separate stalk. That’s the kind of action we love to see.

Of course, a Wild Hog Hunt isn’t just about the chances fired. It’s about the entire experience, and this night had a little bonus surprise waiting in the fields.

A Lucky Find:

Shed Hunting Bonus

Photo: Deer Shed @PigProblem

While leading the group on one of their Hunting Stalks, Clayton spotted something unexpected - a freshly shed deer antler. If you’ve ever Hunted the South, you know how exciting it is to find a good shed out in the wild. It’s a reminder of just how much life moves through these fields beyond the Pigs.

Photo: Clay Is Into Wierd Things… @PigProblem

As it turns out, Clayton has a knack for finding these hidden gems. Over the years, he’s collected quite a few sheds, and to prove it, he showed off a few of his past finds in a way only Clayton can - balancing them on his head like a big ol buck.

Hunting Wild Hogs With Peanut Protector

A Memorable Two-Night Adventure with Pig Problem

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunts @PigProblem

When it comes to hog hunting, the excitement is undeniable, and our recent Two-Night Hog Hunting adventure guided by Peanut Protector Clayton was no exception. Will and Ryan joined us for a Hog Hunt filled with unexpected twists and memorable moments. Here’s how their journey went down!

Night 1: The Long Wait and a Lonely Hog

“Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah,” was the mantra echoing in Guide Clayton’s head as he finally witnessed the sweet success of his Hunters. After a slow start where thoughts of “you don’t want to know the things that I say in my head when it is late and I haven’t seen any pigs yet” buzzed through his mind, things began to change.

The first half of the night felt like an eternity, with not a Hog in sight. Just as the team was losing hope around 2 AM, fortune smiled upon them. In the midst of the cut corn and overgrowth, they spotted a lonely little Hog searching for friends. Sadly for him, he met Will and Ryan instead.

The terrain presented a challenge – there were spots where the Wild Hog would seemingly vanish into the thick brush, while other patches offered a crystal-clear view. After a couple of adjustments to their positioning, they finally secured a clear shot. It only took two bullets before the Little Hog fell, disappearing into the dark underbrush.

Finding the Hog, however, became somewhat of an adventure in itself. With a mischievous grin, Clayton joked about needing to hop onto Ryan’s shoulders – a pivot, but human and not steel! Even with the fun and laughter, they eventually located their prize, marking a successful end to their first night.

Night 2: Chasing Shadows

Eager to build on their success, the second night started strong. The team spotted a Group of 4 Pigs, their hearts racing with anticipation. The Thrill of the Hunt was back, but this time, the bush was thicker than before.

With their sights set on the group, Will and Ryan took their shots, downing one Wild Pig right away—but the Hog Hunt didn’t end quite as smoothly as they’d hoped. In the dense brush, the other Pigs scattered, and despite searching for about 30 minutes, they could only locate one. Clayton's frustration was evident; he was sure at least one more big one had met its fate in that field.

Hunting is all about patience and resilience, and even when the conditions are tough, it’s the wild unpredictability that keeps us coming back for more. While the group only found one more Wild Pig that night, the shared experience of searching through the brush added to their story, turning a challenging moment into a lasting memory.

Conclusion: Every Hunt Tells a Story

Evenings spent waiting for Hogs to emerge, navigating thick brush, and experiencing the ups and downs of the Thermal Hunt create a tapestry of stories that every Hunter should cherish. For Will and Ryan, this Two-Night Hog Hunt with Pig Problem, guided by Clayton, was a mix of anticipation, challenges, and laughter.

While there may have been moments of frustration, the camaraderie formed and the excitement of the Guided Hunt made it all worthwhile. Despite the challenges, their spirits remained high, fueled by the thrill of the chase.
