Despite some early rain, the skies cleared perfectly for our Night Hog Hunting operation. Matt is the definition of a respectable sportsman, and his main goal for the evening was watching Hazel experience the thrill of Boar Hunting for the first time. The Joy in the field was contagious as the team utilized Thermal Hog Hunting technology to navigate the damp South Georgia terrain.

The night was a 'Great Success,' resulting in Hazel’s first confirmed pig recoveries. This type of Family Hunting experience is what makes our work so rewarding. We don't just focus on the numbers; we focus on providing a safe, educational, and exciting environment for families to contribute to Georgia's Feral Hog Management efforts. It was an honor to be part of Hazel's introduction to the sport, and we look forward to seeing this duo back in the field again soon.

This Hog Hunt was all about the experience. A father rode along to watch his two sons and their friend take on the Thermal Hunting, and they made it a night to remember.

After a quiet start, they spotted three Big Pigs. The stalk was tough, with deer all around and close calls that almost ruined the chance. Kaleb made the call to wait—and it paid off. Two Wild Hogs came back out, and the Young Hunters stayed patient and ready.

It wasn’t easy, but the group worked together and made it happen. A night full of heart and memories they’ll never forget.

The pictures say it all. This was a Birthday Hunt and this young man’s First Hunt and we are happy it could be with us at Pig Problem. Not long into the night, they spotted a small Sounder of Pigs. One was re-homed in the field while another made it to the tree-line. You could see he was hooked right away. Buck fever was real.

Later, they moved northwest to avoid the weather and found another Wild Hog, but it got spooked by a car. An hour later, back in the same field, a Big Lone Boar was hanging out. They made the stalk, adrenaline was pumping, and the Young Hunter re-homed the Pig on the run.

It was a night to remember. The family said they’ll definitely be back. In the dad’s words: “You made this night special—thank you.”

Easton’s birthday celebration was more than just a Hog Hunt — it was a Family Hunt. Surrounded by relatives who share a love for the outdoors, Easton got to celebrate his big day with a Hog Hunting Trip he’ll never forget. The group brought great energy, positive attitudes, and a shared appreciation for responsible Hunting. It’s always refreshing to guide folks who not only understand the importance of land and wildlife management, but who also take time to pass those values down to the next generation.

Seeing Young Hunters out in the field, learning the ropes and building memories with parents, uncles, and grandparents — that’s what it’s all about. It’s more than just time outside. Over the course of two nights, the group did a great job of re-homing Wild Pigs and helping support local farmers. Everyone played a part, and Easton handled the challenge like a seasoned pro. Watching him step up and take in every part of the experience with maturity and excitement made this Birthday Hunting Trip one that’ll be talked about for years.

In the still of the night, Guide Capt Clayton took the reins for a 1 Night Hog Hunting escapade at Pig Problem in Americus, GA. Battling through a tough start, he and the group didn't encounter their first two sizable Boars until the early hours of 4 AM. As they stealthily approached their quarry, fate took a turn—the Wild Boars vanished into the woods just moments before a shot could be taken, leaving the Hunters in the quiet of the deep darkness. Not one to give up, Capt Peanut Protector Clayton decided to check one last field, a Hail Mary attempt, which paid off. There, a Sounder of Pigs was discovered 300 yards from the van, blissfully foraging for nuts. Derek and his son JC seized the moment, successfully taking down two Wild Pigs in the field, with the possibility of others wounded. Guide Capt Max took a father and son on a 1 night hog hunt at Pig Problem. It turned out to be the farthest Stalk he had ever done. Ben and Jeff, the son and father duo, worked diligently to Take Down The Hogs. The group had to regroup and rethink their angles to ensure successful shots. After some strategy adjustments, they finally managed to get on the Big Sounder and successfully took down 3 Wild Hogs. Guide Capt Max found this Hunt to be extremely rewarding and was thrilled with its success.
