Don was doing some PRS matches last week after getting done with the GAP Grind and Last Qualifier in GA He decided do a little Hog Hunting. After a quick stop at Armageddon Gear in Buena Vista, we geared up and started the night finding a small Boar Hog at the edge of a corn field. We decided to do a predator stand and another Big Boar Walked out about 70 yards from us and made for an easy photo. We decided to hit a freshly turned peanut field and ended up retrieving 6 out a sounder with more making it to the woods. Wild Hog Hunting is exactly that Wild. Georgia Wild Boar Hunting in Americus, Georgia. Ping flew down with is dad to do a night hog hunt with his dad. First field they were able to get on a small group with one hog going down. After a few more fields being checked they were able to get a single boar down to end the night.

A piece of advice to hunters taking back wild game. We offer field butchering free of charge for as many hogs as you knock down. What we DO NOT offer is gutting of hogs so you can take them whole . Would you let us put a whole hog in the back of your wife’s SUV? Same reason we don’t take whole hogs out of the field! We recommend, getting them quartered up as soon as possible to ensure the meat is fit to consume. This group took the hog whole at the end of the night in the back of the rental . They said they would gut it and deal with it when they got home. Georgia summers can be in the high 90s but with a heat index in the 100s. Consume wild game at your own risk!

We are privileged to take new hunters and first time hunters out. Parents who entrust us with their families safety and experience is a honor. These new hunters got to experience the highs and the lows of hunting and the success also. The first encounter the hogs dropped, but then ran into the swamp. Ryan and Matthew were dialed for their 3 nights of hog hunting. They ended up booking a 4th night . While the main objective was Wild Hogs, they did have a few successful stands on some coyotes with their FoxPro Predator call. They were able to get a toothy Big Boar.

Corporate Hunts In Georgia

The second night of this Corporate Hunt brought some thick South Georgia fog, which always adds a layer of difficulty to the stalk. Despite the limited visibility, these two plumbing company employees stayed sharp and kept the energy high throughout the night.

Early in the night, the team successfully recovered one hog after a solid engagement. We had a few more opportunities, but between a fumbled safety and the heavy fog slowing things down, the pigs managed to slip away. To keep the action going, the guys did some "maintenance" on the local armadillo population before calling it a night.

This group finished their Hog Hunt with a total of 3 wild hogs—including the massive hog from Night 1! It was a pleasure hosting a crew that works hard and hunts harder. We’re glad we could help this boss reward his team with an unforgettable Hog Hunting experience in the field.

Guide Captain Max led a Father and Daughter Hog Hunt for Pig Problem. This Family Hunting duo found a sounder under an oak tree and took out 4 Wild Hogs. The clock hit midnight just as Clayton’s thermal caught a heat signature on the move. It was a large single traveler, deep in the field. The duo moved into position with perfect discipline, executing a stealthy approach that brought them within range.

They took their chances, and the connection was clear, but this was a legendary "iron-hided" boar. He took the chances like a man, found his gear, and bolted into the thick timber before a recovery could be made. The second night of our reunion hunt with our returning clients felt like a case of deja vu.
