Georgia Night Hog Hunting

There is nothing better than welcoming back familiar faces for another round of Georgia Night Hog Hunting. These guys last hunted with Clayton two years ago, and they didn't have to wait long for the action to heat up. In the very first field we pulled into, we located a sounder of four pigs—the perfect start for a Nighttime Hog Hunting expedition.

The team executed a professional stalk, closing the distance to under 100 yards. The targets turned broadside, offering a prime opportunity for Wild Hog Hunting success. After a solid 45 seconds of active shooting, the group secured a recovery to get the trip on the board.

As is often the case with Georgia Wild Hog Hunting, the weather eventually dictated the pace. A storm front moved in around 1:00 AM, pushing the wildlife into heavy cover and ending the activity for the night. However, with Night 2 still on the horizon, we are confident that our Thermal Hog Hunts will put this group back on the targets. When you are looking for the Best Hog Hunts, persistence is part of the game!

The versatility of Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia was on full display during our recent outing with guide Jordan. The night began with a high-stakes predator encounter, where our scouting team identified a pack of four coyotes. While the long-range setup from 200 yards proved challenging, it set a tactical tone for the rest of the evening.

After monitoring several sectors, we relocated, where our thermal identified a high concentration of activity. We observed three distinct groups of Wild Hogs scattered across the acreage. Managing multiple sounders requires a disciplined approach to ensure we don't alert one group while pursuing another.

We focused our efforts on a group of three hogs feeding near a pivot irrigation system. Navigating around large-scale farm equipment requires extreme care; the team had to stay low to maintain a safe line of sight beneath the pivot pipes. The patience paid off as we closed the distance, allowing our hunters to execute a synchronized setup. With a single shot each, two hogs were successfully recovered.

We concluded the night by honoring the 'field-to-table' tradition. After a quick group photo to celebrate the success, the team assisted in butchering the harvest for the clients to take home. This blend of technical Thermal Hog Hunting and successful meat recovery is exactly what makes the Georgia Hunting experience so unique.

The final night of our Georgia Hog Hunting Trip with guide Clayton was defined by consistent action and easy movement. In the world of Boar Hunting, some nights require an intense grind, but other times, the Wild Hog activity is so steady that finding opportunities feels almost effortless.

Throughout the evening, Clayton utilized our Thermal Hunting gear to locate four different single hogs across the acreage. These 'lone wolf' boars are often highly active during the late hours, providing excellent stalking opportunities for our guests. The team stayed focused, executing several setups that resulted in successful recoveries to close out the trip.

Even a 'normal' night of Hog Hunting in Georgia delivers more excitement than most realize. While there were a few learning moments regarding equipment readiness in the heat of the moment, the overall success of the multi-day hunt was undeniable. We finished the trip with a high recovery count, proving once again that consistency and local knowledge are the keys to a premier Georgia Hog Hunting experience.

When it comes to Hog Hunting in Georgia, patience is just as important as the high-end gear we carry. Our most recent Thermal Hog Hunting trip in the Americus area proved that even when the movement starts slow, the Wild Boar Hunting can turn on in an instant.

After covering significant ground and checking multiple South Georgia fields with limited activity, our group stayed the course. We continued monitoring the landscape with our thermal, knowing that Night Hog Hunts often require waiting out the sound and movement of local wildlife.

Just as the night was winding down, a large hog stepped into the open. With a controlled approach, the group moved in and successfully recovered the wild hog.

The remainder of the night was spent scouting for more Hog Hunts opportunities. While we spotted more hogs in the area, the local deer movement kept them on edge and pushed them back into the cover before we could set up again.

Despite the slow start, the night was a major success. It served as a perfect example of why we are the leaders in Georgia Hog Hunting—we stay patient, we stay committed, and we know how to produce results during Thermal Night Hunts.

Night one of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia brought quieter conditions but still produced results.

Movement was limited across several areas, so the focus remained on covering ground and making the most of each opportunity. Later in the night, a single hog was located and successfully recovered, marking a productive outcome despite slower activity.

Even on nights with minimal movement, consistent effort and adaptability help ensure effective Hog Control for local farmland.

Predator Hog Hunting

Some nights are worth every mile — and this 1-Night Hog Hunt with Guide Max was exactly that.

The group covered a lot of ground early, checking fields across South Georgia before eventually circling back toward Americus, Ga. Sometimes that’s how Hog Hunting goes: long drives, empty fields, and then suddenly everything comes together in one place.

Once the action started, it didn’t slow down. The crew first encountered a Single Hog, setting the tone for the night. Not long after, they found what every Hog Hunter hopes for — a Large Sounder working a field together.

With solid coordination and steady setups, three hogs were successfully recovered, with additional hits during the encounter. Nights like this show how fast things can escalate when you finally get on the right pigs in the right spot.

To top it off, the group also encountered a Coyote later in the night, adding another memorable moment to an already eventful Predator Hunt.

What made the night even better was the group itself. Easygoing, enthusiastic, and fun to hunt with — the kind of people guides love having in the field. Those are the nights that remind us why we love doing what we do.

Another successful Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt in the books with Pig Problem and Guide Max — full of movement, surprises, and plenty of action from start to finish.

A Night Hunt with Pig Problem

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Hog Hunting is always unpredictable, and every Thermal Hunt tells a different story. Some nights, we cover miles scanning field after field, while others, the action starts right away. That was the case on a recent 1 Night Hog Hunt led by Guide Clayton, where the first field we checked turned out to be the only one we needed.

Our group rolled out at sunset, ready for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting. It didn’t take long to find what we were looking for. As we pulled up to the first field, a Lone Hog stepped out about 200 yards from the van—a perfect setup. With pew pews dialed in and everyone in position, the Hunter took his shot. A clean hit Dropped the Hog right where it stood, making for a quick and Ethical Harvest.

Though the night was quiet after that first successful shot, the team was in good spirits. Sometimes, all it takes is one well-placed shot to make the Hunting Trip a success. Another Guided Hog Hunt in the books, another story to tell, and another Wild Hog taken off the land.

At Pig Problem, we know that every Hog Hunter comes with their own story, and we’re here to make sure they leave with a great one. Whether it’s your First Hog or your hundredth, we’re ready to get you on target.

Hunting Report:

Battling the Elements & Bagging Hogs with Guide Hank

Night Hunting

Photo: He Is Just Holding A Flashlight Google @PigProblem

At Pig Problem, we know every Hog Hunt is different—some nights are nonstop action, and others test your patience. But no matter what, we adapt, strategize, and make the most of every opportunity. Guide Hank just wrapped up a 2 Night Hog Hunt, and it was a prime example of how Unpredictable Hog Hunting can be.

Night 1:

Deer Everywhere, Pigs Nowhere

The first night started with promise—plenty of deer moving through the fields, but the Pigs were nowhere to be found. As the night went on, the reason became clear. A massive storm was rolling in, bringing heavy wind, rain, and lightning. Right before it hit, the fields went dead silent—no movement, no signs of life. The animals knew what was coming, and so did we. Instead of pushing our luck and getting soaked, we called it early, knowing we’d have another chance the next night.

Night 2:

Success in the Wind

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hogs Down @PigProblem

The second night brought its own challenge—strong winds—but we weren’t about to let that stop us. After covering a lot of ground with little to show for it, we finally spotted a couple of Wild Pigs. Using the tree line for cover and staying out of the moonlight, we made a short stalk into range. A couple of well-placed chances later, we had our Hogs for the night.

Even though we checked several more fields without luck, the Wild Hog Hunt was still a success. That’s Hog Hunting for you—some nights are easy, others make you work for it. But with persistence, smart tactics, and a little patience, the payoff always comes.

Late-Night Success:

A Two-Night Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting is always an adventure, but some Hog Hunts stand out as particularly memorable. That was the case for Glenn and Erik, two Returning Hunters who joined Guide Clayton for another action-packed Two-Night Thermal Hunt with Pig Problem. Having Hunted with Clayton the previous year, they knew they were in for a good time—and the results did not disappoint.

Night One:

Off to a Strong Start

Hog Hunting

Photo: Boar Down @PigProblem

From the start, it was clear that Glenn and Erik were excited to be back in the fields, ready to relocate some Hogs. Their first night out, the trio worked together to track a group of pigs in the fields, using their Thermal Equipment to scan the landscape. With a well-placed chance, they put a solid Wild Boar to a new home, kicking off the Boar Hunt on a high note.

For these guys, it wasn’t just about the Hunt—it was about the experience. Wild Hog Hunting alongside a guide they already knew and trusted made the night feel less like a Guided Hunting Trip and more like a hunt with old friends.

Night Two:

A Hunt to Remember

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: yesssss @PigProblem

The second night turned into an endurance test, pushing well into the early morning hours. In a now-familiar pattern, the Wild Hog Hunt stretched all the way to 5 AM, proving once again that patience and persistence pay off in Thermal Hog Hunting.

The wind was not in their favor, blowing directly toward the Pigs from the van. Knowing they had to adjust their strategy, Clayton and the Hunters made a quick decision—they booked it across the field in a last-ditch effort to get into a better position. Clayton climbed onto a pivot to get a better vantage point, hoping the Wild Pigs hadn’t moved. Miraculously, they were still right where they had been, offering the perfect opportunity for a clean chance.

But this Thermal Hunt wasn’t just about strategy and skill—it also came with some unexpected humor. As the team settled into position, the silence of the night was suddenly interrupted. One of the Hunters, unintentionally lightened the mood, causing a brief but hilarious pause in the action. Holding in their laughter was almost as difficult as the stalk itself, but once they regained composure, they got back to business and successfully got two Wild Hogs before the night was over.

The Thrill of the Hunt

For Glenn and Erik, we hope this Hunting Trip was more than just another Pig Hunt—it was a chance to return to the fields, enjoy the challenge, and create new memories. For Clayton, it was another reminder of why he loves Guiding Hunts. He might joke that luck plays a big role in his success, but his ability to adapt, make quick decisions, and keep the hunt fun and engaging is what keeps Hog Hunters coming back year after year.

These two hunters have already made it clear—they’ll be back next year for another Unforgettable Hunt. Until then, the Farm Fields of Georgia will keep calling, and the hogs will keep running. But not for long.

Thermal Predator Hunts

From Hogs to Predators

Pig Problem

At Pig Problem, Inc., we know that every Hog Hunt is a different adventure. Sometimes, the Hogs cooperate, and sometimes they seem to disappear into thin air. But no matter what, we make the most of every night in the field.

Guide Hank recently led a 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the group didn’t get a chance to put a Wild Hog into a new home, they still had a successful night - because they managed to take get a Coyote instead! When the hogs go into hiding, Predator control becomes the next best thing, and we’re always ready to adapt.

The Hunt That Turned Into a Predator Control Mission

Wild Hog Hunting is unpredictable. After the recent snowstorm, the Pigs have been acting strange - maybe the sudden weather shift threw them off their routine. One night they’re everywhere, and the next, they’re ghosts. That’s the challenge of Hunting Wild Hogs: you never know what the night will bring.

But that’s why we love it. Unlike sitting in a stand over a bait pile, our Guided Hunts are all about strategy, movement, and real-time decision-making. With Thermal Optics in hand, we cover ground, Scanning Fields and wood lines for Heat Signatures. On this Thermal Hunt, instead of spotting a Sounder of Hogs, the team locked onto the glowing shape of a Coyote creeping through the night.

Coyotes are another major problem for farmers and landowners, preying on livestock, deer fawns, and even pets. Taking one out is always a win in our book. So while the night didn’t end with a Hog, it was still a success.

The Thrill of the Spot-and-Stalk Thermal Hunt

What makes our Wild Hog Hunts so exciting is the way we do them. We don’t just sit in a stand and wait - we get out there and Hunt. Spot-and-stalk Thermal Hunting is an adrenaline rush from start to finish. Every Hunting Trip is different, every encounter is unique, and every Hunter leaves with a great story.

Hogs are tough to hunt, and sometimes, they just don’t show up. But that’s what makes it all the more rewarding when everything lines up, and we move in on a Sounder. That’s the kind of Guided Hog Hunt we’re looking forward to for these guys when they come back - we’re determined to put them on some Pigs!
