Started the night on a farm just outside of Americus, A coyote was spotted bedded down in the field. The guide did a mouth call but wasn’t able to take it in time. A sounder was spotted after a few more checked field and a single hog was taken out of the sounder. After Hunting other peanut fields and cut corn fields a sounder was spotted on a peanut field, and 2 more hogs were taken. At the end of the night 3 Wild Hogs were taken to end the night. We have been hunting all summer but took a break from posts. These two were able to get on a large sounder but were unsuccessful and retrieving any of the hit Hogs. Started the night off chasing some wild hogs in an overgrown Pecan Orchard. Only 2 piglets were taken since the Mama Sow decided to keep moving, so we have to take any opportunity we can. After checking a few other fields, a large sounder was spotted and the team was able to drop 6 out of the sounder. We do all we can to pile up the hogs for our customers. The hogs are moving with all the peanuts and corn being planted. Sometimes it’s a waiting game with them moving in and out of tall corn. Night hunting significantly increased the odds of a sucessful hunt. Guide Noah was able to make a good pig pile for Jeff and Levi’s first night of Hog Hunting. Long night of Hog Hunting yielded this single boar in a field that keeps getting tore up. Farmer has planted corn and the hogs keep rooting it up. Guide Noah hit some fields that have been problematic earlier in the night and didnt see a singe hog. After getting this one he was able to get onto a sounder but a passer by decided to spoil the hunt and shine lights. We work for farmers on private farm fields, but sometimes Mother Nature and non sportsman can ruin a hunt. We are grateful to have gotten this Boar Hog out of the field.

The versatility of Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia was on full display during our recent outing with guide Jordan. The night began with a high-stakes predator encounter, where our scouting team identified a pack of four coyotes. While the long-range setup from 200 yards proved challenging, it set a tactical tone for the rest of the evening.

After monitoring several sectors, we relocated, where our thermal identified a high concentration of activity. We observed three distinct groups of Wild Hogs scattered across the acreage. Managing multiple sounders requires a disciplined approach to ensure we don't alert one group while pursuing another.

We focused our efforts on a group of three hogs feeding near a pivot irrigation system. Navigating around large-scale farm equipment requires extreme care; the team had to stay low to maintain a safe line of sight beneath the pivot pipes. The patience paid off as we closed the distance, allowing our hunters to execute a synchronized setup. With a single shot each, two hogs were successfully recovered.

We concluded the night by honoring the 'field-to-table' tradition. After a quick group photo to celebrate the success, the team assisted in butchering the harvest for the clients to take home. This blend of technical Thermal Hog Hunting and successful meat recovery is exactly what makes the Georgia Hunting experience so unique.
