Night one of this 2-Night Pig Hunt in Americus, Georgia got off to a strong start with good conditions and steady movement.

Early in the night, a single hog was located in tall cut corn near a pivot. With favorable wind, the group was able to make a clean stalk and set up efficiently, resulting in a successful recovery.

After moving on to the next field, a sounder was briefly located but moved off before a setup could be completed. Continued scanning while returning to the vehicle revealed another single hog on the opposite side of the field, keeping the group active and on their feet throughout the night.

Between multiple stalks and plenty of walking, night one delivered solid effort and positive results — a great way to start the Thermal Hog Hunt and build momentum heading into night two.

This 1-Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia delivered a solid result through patience and careful decision-making.

Early in the evening, a sounder was detected moving through wooded cover, positioned just far enough away to limit opportunities. While property boundaries and angles were favorable, extremely quiet conditions made movement risky, and discretion was the best option at the time.

Later in the night, continued scanning led to the discovery of a single hog actively feeding along the edge of the field. With improved positioning and clear angles, a controlled setup was made, resulting in a successful recovery.

Though brief, this Wild Hog Hunt highlighted how Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia often comes down to timing, awareness, and adapting to conditions. Even on a single-night hunt, focused effort can lead to Effective Hog Control and meaningful results.

Some hunters leave an impression the first time they come out.
Others earn a reputation.

Darrell did both — and then came back again in the same week to do it all over.

On this one-night Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt, Guide Clayton and Darrell covered ground and found opportunity after opportunity in the form of three different single hogs. Singles are some of the hardest animals to Hunt — they don’t linger, they don’t bunch up, and they’re constantly moving. Each encounter requires patience, timing, and calm decision-making.

Darrell handled all three encounters flawlessly.
Three setups.
Three clean outcomes.

It was one of those nights where everything clicks — not because it’s easy, but because the hunter knows exactly what they’re doing. The kind of night guides remember, and the kind of hunter guides hope comes back (and Darrell did).

Beyond the field success, Darrell is simply one of those people you enjoy being around. Easygoing, confident, and fun to Thermal Hog Hunt with — the kind of guy who makes the miles, the waiting, and the late hours feel effortless.

Another great night in the books with Pig Problem, Guide Clayton, and one of our favorite repeat hunters of the season.

We’ll be ready whenever Darrell decides it’s time to come back again.

Clayton’s Two-Night Hunt with Doug and Jason:

A Wild Success

At Pig Problem Inc., we’re all about delivering an Unforgettable Hog Hunting experience for our Hunters. Guide Capt Clayton recently guided Doug and Jason, two avid outdoorsmen from Wisconsin, on a 2 Night Hog Hunt, and it was an adventure worth sharing.

Night One:

A Quick Strike

Hog Hunting

The first night of the Hog Hunt started with a bit of excitement. After arriving at the first field, Clayton spotted a small group of Wild Pigs, but they quickly spooked as the team was getting set up. Not wanting to let the opportunity slip away, they took a chance with a tried something from about 200-300 yards away—and it paid off. Doug and Jason both connected and successfully brought 2 Pigs in one swift move to a new home. As Peanut Protector Clayton put it, it was “gangster,” showing just how skilled they were. Unfortunately, they didn’t spot any more Pigs that night, but the adrenaline from the initial success made up for it.

Night Two:

The Early Morning Victory

Pig Hunting

The second night, however, was a different kind of challenge. It took Clayton all night to locate the Wild Hogs, but the effort was well worth it. At 5 a.m., he found 3 Hogs, and Doug and Jason were able to successfully tag all three to new homes. According to Clayton, they were “gangster at what they did” and made the Thermal Hunt an absolute pleasure. Not only are they Top-Notch Hunters, but they’re also great people to spend time with—easy-going and fun to be around.

Clayton couldn’t recommend Doug and Jason more, giving them a 10/10 rating for the Thermal Hog Hunt. It’s always a bonus when hunters not only bring their A-game but also make the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

Guide Capt Max led a group of Hunters on a thrilling 2 Night Wild Hog Hunt at Pig Problem. The first night yielded a total of 4 Hogs, with one Hog proving to be a challenge as it hid in a bush. Thanks to the darkness of the night, the Hunters were able to sneak in and take down their prey.

The second night was even more successful, with Capt Max urging the Wild Hogs to "Drop The Nuts." The group prided themselves with 100% free range and fair chase Wild Hog Meat, making each kill a true test of skill and patience. Capt Max, known for his intense Passion for Hunting, showed his true colors as a psychopath when he isn’t busy with his various roles in life.

Hunters Bruce, Ed, and Scott were on fire during this Hunt, with a total of 11 Hogs Taken Down on the second night alone. It was a truly exhilarating experience for the group as they worked together to track down and eliminate their targets. With Capt Max at the helm, we hope this Hunt was one they would never forget.

Guide Capt Max led Dave and Rob on a 2 Night Hog Hunt. They had three encounters, and three hogs were successfully taken down. The first encounter involved a small group of Hogs, but two managed to escape into the woods without being recovered. Guide Capt Max was excited to see how the second night would unfold.

On the second night, a total of three Wild Hogs were taken down. The most challenging Pig of the night expired just five feet from the wood line. Guide Capt Max had to get on his belly and creep in like an inchworm to retrieve it. With the opening to the woods being so small, the guide got stuck, not due to his size but because of his husky build. He called out to the customers to grab him by the boots and pull him out. In their eagerness to help, they ended up ripping off his boots, leaving the guide squirming like a worm being attacked by a bird of prey. Ultimately, it was decided to leave the hog in the woods and forego taking a photo.
