Night one of this 2-Night Pig Hunt in Americus, Georgia got off to a strong start with good conditions and steady movement.

Early in the night, a single hog was located in tall cut corn near a pivot. With favorable wind, the group was able to make a clean stalk and set up efficiently, resulting in a successful recovery.

After moving on to the next field, a sounder was briefly located but moved off before a setup could be completed. Continued scanning while returning to the vehicle revealed another single hog on the opposite side of the field, keeping the group active and on their feet throughout the night.

Between multiple stalks and plenty of walking, night one delivered solid effort and positive results — a great way to start the Thermal Hog Hunt and build momentum heading into night two.

Night three of this 4-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia proved to be one of the most eventful nights of the Hunting Trip.

Early in the evening, a newly available field — recently opened back up after Deer Season — was checked for activity. Initial scans showed no movement, but just before moving on, thermal detection revealed a sounder entering the field. A careful setup followed, resulting in multiple successful recoveries before the area went quiet again.

Later in the night, around 1:00 a.m., another sounder was located. This encounter required a long, methodical stalk, with several repositioning attempts to maintain favorable angles and avoid detection. After multiple setups, conditions finally aligned, allowing for a productive outcome.

One hog broke from the group and charged toward the team, creating a fast-moving situation. Despite multiple confirmed hits, the animal continued forward before being successfully stopped at close range. The unexpected moment brought plenty of adrenaline and laughter once the situation was fully under control.

By the end of the night, multiple sounders had been located and several hogs were successfully recovered, making night three a standout example of how unpredictable and exciting Hog Hunting in Georgia can be.

With one night remaining, momentum was high heading into the final stretch of the Wild Hog Hunt.

Spotting 5 Hogs in the First Field

The night kicked off strong when the group located five Wild Hogs right away. Because of the wind direction and the slope of the ground, the hogs stayed tucked just out of sight until the team got within roughly 60 yards.

A slow, controlled approach was key. Hank positioned everyone carefully so the group could make their move together once the hogs were fully in view.

When the team finally stepped into position, things came together fast. The hunters connected with three hogs, while the remaining two slipped into the treeline. Guide Clay and his hunters covered plenty of ground before finding a small group of pigs in the second field. They were spread out across the area, which meant taking a careful, steady approach to each one individually — the kind of patience and focus that Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia is known for.

These guys came back eager and ready to make the most of their 1 Night Guided Thermal Hog Hunt. Their mission? Fill that cooler.

Not long into the night, Hank spotted a Sounder of Wild Hogs over 1,000 yards away in the second field. With the wind working against them, he made the call to pull out and circle around to a different access point — a smart move that set them up for success.

After gearing up and walking in from the opposite side, the team closed the gap and got eyes on the pigs. The stalk went smoothly, the guys called their shots, and within moments, four hogs were down. The result? A cooler packed full of meat and a Boar Hunt to remember.

Night 1
Clayton’s group covered multiple fields throughout the night. Activity was light, but patience paid off. In the final field of the night, the team spotted a lone hog and made a clean stalk to drop it. It was a quiet but rewarding start for the group’s first night.

Meanwhile, Hank’s crew had a lively night with plenty of wildlife movement. They sat at numerous fields, and while no pigs turned up, they did manage to get a coyote while scanning for hogs. The hunters were easygoing and appreciative, making it an enjoyable night in the fields.

Night 2
Both guides headed back out with the same hunters for round two. Clayton’s night mirrored the first—slow activity, but another successful stalk. His group connected on a single hog, and everyone got in on the action, making it a great team effort. They also saw another hog later in the night, but it slipped away after being spooked by the van.

Hank’s group kept their spirits high as they checked several fields throughout the night. Their persistence paid off when they finally found pigs near a cornfield. After a quiet stalk, the crew knocked one down, adding some meat to the cooler and smiles all around.

The Final Count:
Across both groups, the hunters ended their two-night adventure with four hogs and one coyote—and plenty of stories to take home.

This week, Guide Kaleb led a Father-and-Son Hunting duo on an exciting 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunting adventure.

Night One

Under a bright full moon and cooler temps, the night started with plenty of deer sightings. After a careful stalk, the group located a Sounder of Hogs and successfully harvested two. Later, they spotted another group of Wild Hogs, but it was on neighboring property, so they could only watch from a distance. The crisp breeze and great company made for a memorable first night.

Night Two

The evening kicked off with more deer before the team came across hogs in the second field. Two were secured early on, followed by another quick stalk, though that Hog made it to cover just in time. The rest of the night was quiet, but the father and son left with smiles, already planning their return Hog Hunting Trip next year.

Thermal Hog Hunting

Guide Kaleb knew it was going to be a good Hog Hunt from the start — the group brought great energy, and it didn’t take long for things to get exciting. Around midnight, they spotted a Sounder of Hogs tucked into the tall cotton. Visibility was tough, but the crew worked together and locked in on the biggest one of the group.

As the night went on, things slowed down, but the memories didn’t. The crew swapped Hunting stories, shared laughs, and made the kind of connections that remind us why we do this.

Night One:

A Quick Strike

The first night of the Hog Hunt started with a bit of excitement. After arriving at the first field, Clayton spotted a small group of Wild Pigs, but they quickly spooked as the team was getting set up. Not wanting to let the opportunity slip away, they took a chance with a tried something from about 200-300 yards away—and it paid off. Doug and Jason both connected and successfully brought 2 Pigs in one swift move to a new home. As Peanut Protector Clayton put it, it was “gangster,” showing just how skilled they were. Unfortunately, they didn’t spot any more Pigs that night, but the adrenaline from the initial success made up for it.

Night Two:

The Early Morning Victory

The second night, however, was a different kind of challenge. It took Clayton all night to locate the Wild Hogs, but the effort was well worth it. At 5 a.m., he found 3 Hogs, and Doug and Jason were able to successfully tag all three to new homes. According to Clayton, they were “gangster at what they did” and made the Thermal Hunt an absolute pleasure. Not only are they Top-Notch Hunters, but they’re also great people to spend time with—easy-going and fun to be around.

Clayton couldn’t recommend Doug and Jason more, giving them a 10/10 rating for the Thermal Hog Hunt. It’s always a bonus when hunters not only bring their A-game but also make the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.
