Night one of this 2-Night Pig Hunt in Americus, Georgia got off to a strong start with good conditions and steady movement.

Early in the night, a single hog was located in tall cut corn near a pivot. With favorable wind, the group was able to make a clean stalk and set up efficiently, resulting in a successful recovery.

After moving on to the next field, a sounder was briefly located but moved off before a setup could be completed. Continued scanning while returning to the vehicle revealed another single hog on the opposite side of the field, keeping the group active and on their feet throughout the night.

Between multiple stalks and plenty of walking, night one delivered solid effort and positive results — a great way to start the Thermal Hog Hunt and build momentum heading into night two.

Night three of this 4-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia proved to be one of the most eventful nights of the Hunting Trip.

Early in the evening, a newly available field — recently opened back up after Deer Season — was checked for activity. Initial scans showed no movement, but just before moving on, thermal detection revealed a sounder entering the field. A careful setup followed, resulting in multiple successful recoveries before the area went quiet again.

Later in the night, around 1:00 a.m., another sounder was located. This encounter required a long, methodical stalk, with several repositioning attempts to maintain favorable angles and avoid detection. After multiple setups, conditions finally aligned, allowing for a productive outcome.

One hog broke from the group and charged toward the team, creating a fast-moving situation. Despite multiple confirmed hits, the animal continued forward before being successfully stopped at close range. The unexpected moment brought plenty of adrenaline and laughter once the situation was fully under control.

By the end of the night, multiple sounders had been located and several hogs were successfully recovered, making night three a standout example of how unpredictable and exciting Hog Hunting in Georgia can be.

With one night remaining, momentum was high heading into the final stretch of the Wild Hog Hunt.

Night 1 – Blog Post:

Night 1 of this 4-Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia was a perfect example of what real hunting looks like — especially when you’re sharing the field with experienced, repeat hunters who know the process.

This group has been hunting with Pig Problem for years, booking multiple nights back-to-back every Hunting Season. Hunts like these are never dull, even when the night throws challenges your way.

The evening started with an early encounter when a single hog appeared near an access point, but its position made a safe approach impossible before it moved off. Shortly after, a sounder was located at long distance, but shifting conditions caused them to slip away before a setup could come together.

Another opportunity developed on a different single Boar, but just as the group was getting set, movement alerted the hog and it disappeared into cover — a reminder of how quickly hogs react, even during careful setups.

Persistence finally paid off later in the night when another single Wild Hog was located, the setup came together cleanly, and the opportunity was capitalized on with a successful recovery.

An equipment issue brought the night to an earlier close than planned, but the group handled it exactly how seasoned hunters do — understanding that long, multi-night hunts are about patience, effort, and letting the week unfold.

Night 1 was officially in the books, with three more nights still ahead and plenty of opportunity left to come.

Early in the night, the group got their first opportunity on a Single Hog, setting the tone for what would become a busy evening. Like many first encounters on a Night Hunt, nerves and excitement were high, but the group stayed engaged and pushed forward.

Not long after, Guide Zev located a Large Sounder of roughly 30 hogs, creating one of the best opportunities of the night. With multiple hogs in the open, the hunters were able to capitalize on the moment, resulting in several solid connections. While not every hog was recoverable due to movement into cover, the encounter delivered exactly what Thermal Hog Hunting is known for — fast-paced action and high-adrenaline moments.

Later in the night, the group found another Sounder, and when a single hog stepped out ahead of the group, the opportunity came together cleanly. With the sounder still holding in the field, the team moved in and made the most of the situation, resulting in five hogs accounted for, with four successfully recovered.

Night 2: Dream Thermal Hog Hunt

Night 2:

Night 2 of this 2-Night Hog Hunt with Pig Problem was the complete opposite of Night 1 — fast-moving, unpredictable, and packed with action from start to finish.

The night opened with a Large Sounder spotted in the corner of a field, prompting a long, patient stalk. The group closed to roughly 300 yards, but the hogs slowly worked their way into the treeline before a safe opportunity presented itself. With no wind or pressure pushing them out, Jordan made the smart call to back off and keep searching.

Later in the night, multiple singles appeared across different areas, but several promising stalks were disrupted by outside movement — including deer unintentionally pushing hogs into cover. That’s Hunting, and every experienced hunter knows those moments are part of the process.

The night truly came alive toward the end.

While scanning a new area, Jordan spotted a single hog, and the setup came together cleanly. The hog was taken, and as the group waited to see if it would move again, the field suddenly erupted with activity.

A sounder began pouring out of the treeline, running directly toward the downed hog. What followed was one of the most chaotic and memorable moments of the entire Hog Hunt. Groups of Hogs — wave after wave — crossed the field, creating multiple opportunities in rapid succession.

After the first wave moved through, another group emerged moments later, allowing the hunters to capitalize once again. In total, more than 30 hogs moved through the field during that final stretch of the night — an incredible sight even for seasoned hunters.

With multiple hogs recovered, photos taken, and the hogs processed, the group wrapped up Night 2 and headed in after an unforgettable finish.

Two nights.
Completely different experiences.

Darrell returned to Pig Problem once again for a two-night hunt with Guide Clay, and Night 2 turned into another standout performance. From the first setup to the final field, Darrell stayed focused, confident, and consistent.

Over the course of the night, Darrell successfully handled Multiple Hog Encounters, navigating singles and groups alike and putting together one of the most productive nights of the season. His ability to stay calm, make smart decisions, and adjust to fast-moving hogs showed exactly why he’s become one of Clay’s favorite hunters to guide.

The conditions made the night even more impressive.
Temperatures dropped hard, freezing the ground solid and turning the fields into concrete. Movement was tough, footing was unforgiving, and every step mattered. Even so, Darrell pushed through and made the most of every opportunity.

Late in the night, after a slip on the frozen ground, the decision was made to call it and head back in — a smart move after a long, successful night in harsh conditions.

Beyond the results, what truly stands out about Darrell is the kind of person he is to Wild Hog Hunt with. Easygoing, respectful, and genuinely enjoyable to be around, he brings great energy to the field every time he shows up. That’s the kind of hunter guides hope will keep coming back — and Darrell already plans to do just that.

On this one-night Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt, Guide Clayton and Darrell covered ground and found opportunity after opportunity in the form of three different single hogs. Singles are some of the hardest animals to Hunt — they don’t linger, they don’t bunch up, and they’re constantly moving. Each encounter requires patience, timing, and calm decision-making.

Planting Season is one of the most important times of year for Farmers in South Georgia—and it’s also one of the most vulnerable times for crops. That’s where Pig Problem Inc steps in, and recently, two Hog Hunters from Atlanta, Ga made the trip south to do their part.

Led by Peanut Protector Guide Capt Clayton, the group set out under the stars with one goal in mind: to help local farmers protect their fields. Clayton described the pair as laid-back, respectful, and enjoyable company.

The night started strong as the team located a small Group of Hogs and made quick work of the opportunity, successfully reducing the number causing damage. A few slipped into the tree line, but the group stayed sharp and kept moving.

Later in the night, they encountered another small Sounder and were able to follow up with more success, again preventing further Crop Destruction. With clear skies and calm conditions, Clayton called it one of the easier nights he’s had in a while.

The teamwork, good attitudes, and steady effort made for an efficient and rewarding experience—not just for the Hunters, but for the Local Farms relying on support during critical planting windows.

No two nights of Hog Hunting are ever the same, and this Hunting Trip was proof of that. Guide Hank led a 2-Night Hog Hunt that started as a grind but ended with a Pile of Pigs and plenty of fresh pork to take home.

Night One:

The Long Chase and a Foggy Finish

The Pigs were coming out late, but that didn’t mean we were going to give up on them. After a long 1,000-yard walk, we set up on a Sounder of 20 Pigs, got some shots off, and dropped two.

The rest of the night turned into a wild chase—driving from field to field like madmen, scanning through Thermal Equipment, and covering as much ground as possible to find more Hogs. By the time we were walking back to the van, the sun was up, and a thick morning fog had settled over the field, making for a unique and eerie photo to mark the end of the Wild Hog Hunt.

Night Two:

A Complete Turnaround

What a difference a night makes. After spending most of the first night waiting and chasing, the second night was all action. The first field we hit was full of Wild Pigs, and the Hunters wasted no time. They took down 6 Hogs in a fast-paced stalk, making every shot count.

The next couple of hours were all about putting in the work—stalking, shooting, dragging, and butchering. Since the group needed to head home, we wrapped things up with a great haul of meat and got them on the road at a decent time.

Hog Hunting is never predictable, and no nights in the field are ever the same. Recently, Guide Clayton led a 3-Night Hog Hunt that proved just how unpredictable—and exciting—Chasing Wild Hogs can be.

Night 1:

A Momma and Her Piglets

The first night started off with some action. A Lone Sow and her litter of Piglets made the mistake of stepping into the Hunters’ sights. The team quickly got the mother, but the Piglets, small and fast, scattered into the brush. Shots were fired, but those little ones proved tough. The night was far from uneventful.

The second night delivered exactly what every Hog Hunter hopes for—a Sounder moving through the fields. The hunters wasted no time and managed to get 3 Wild Pigs, adding to the success of the Hunting Trip. CJ and Noah, feeling the adrenaline, decided to get up close for a more personal picture with their harvest. Excitement was high, and the night was a solid win for the team.

Night 3:

The Silent Fields

Thermal Hog Hunting isn’t always action-packed, and the third night was a reminder of that. Despite covering miles of ground, checking every hot spot, and staying out as long as possible, not a single Hog showed itself. Some nights, the Pigs just don’t cooperate, and this was one of those times. But as every Seasoned Hunter knows, persistence is key—because the next night could bring a Field Full of Hogs.
