Hog Hunting

Night three of this 3-Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia tested patience and persistence from start to finish.

Hog movement was limited for most of the night, with extended time spent covering ground and checking multiple areas without success. Activity didn’t finally pick up until around 3:30 a.m., when Wild Hogs were located after hours of searching.

Once contact was made, the stalk proved challenging. The Hogs stayed on the move and crossed a ditch, forcing a full reposition and a second approach from a different access point. After resetting and adjusting the plan, the group was able to get into position and capitalize on the opportunity.

The final setup resulted in two hogs successfully recovered, closing out the Thermal Hog Hunt on a positive note. After a slow second night and a long final push, night three delivered the finish everyone was hoping for.

Multi-Night Hog Hunts often come down to persistence, timing, and staying committed until the very end — and night three was a perfect example of that in South Georgia.
