Hog Hunting In Georgia
Night 2 of this two-night Wild Hog Hunt began with a long stalk that didn’t pan out. On one of the first fields we checked, pigs were present but our wind was wrong — the hogs caught the scent of the van and moved off quickly. Wind is the most crucial factor in Guided Hog Hunting: it can shift at any moment, and hogs have an exceptional sense of smell.
Later, they moved to another field and immediately found a group of six pigs, taking one in that encounter. At the next field they checked, they found more hogs and harvested four. After working several fields with no additional sign, they found a new field with a sounder. We made a long stalk and brought down three from that group.
That’s what we call a great night of Hog Hunting. Over the two nights the team took a total of 15 hogs — seven on night one and eight on night two. We’re grateful to have guided this father–son duo. Book your Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt with Pig Problem — we love taking Families Hog Hunting.

Family Hog Hunts In Georgia
Guide Noah led night one of a two-night Hog Hunt for Pig Problem. The evening started hot. In the first field they entered they found a group of four and managed to take down one pig.
The next attempt went differently — they turned their Thermal Hog Hunt into a Coyote Hunt. They tried to get close, but couldn’t make the approach and the coyote slipped out of the field.
Shortly after, Guide Jordan called to report pigs on a nearby field. They raced over, got a crack at them, and took two Wild Hogs on that run.
They scanned several more fields looking for the next Spot-and-Stalk Hunting opportunity. Finally, they located another sounder, set up, closed the distance, and finished the stalk with four more hogs.
Night one ended with a total of seven hogs. We can’t wait to see what night two of this Georgia Hog Hunt brings!

Wild Hog Hunting In Georgia
Wild Hog Hunting in Georgia | Thermal Hog Hunts with Pig Problem Inc.
At Pig Problem Inc., we specialize in wild hog hunting in Georgia, offering authentic, fair-chase experiences in Americus, Georgia. We were grateful to host a great family who joined us for a thermal hog hunt—one of the most effective and exciting ways to hunt wild hogs at night.
Before heading into the field, we started at the range to review safety, hunting rules, and zeroing thermal equipment. From there, we moved into planted corn fields to begin tracking hog activity. During the night’s encounter, the group had an opportunity on four hogs and successfully harvested one.
Real Hog Hunting vs. Expectations
One thing we see often in the Georgia hog hunting industry is the bad omen of hunting. This particular group followed our guide with a freezer in the back of their truck—something we see all the time. Many hunters arrive with trailers full of coolers, generators, and equipment, expecting to harvest large numbers of hogs.
But wild hog hunting doesn’t work that way.
It’s like counting your chickens before they hatch or expecting guaranteed results—hog hunting is unpredictable. At Pig Problem Inc., we focus on fair chase hog hunting, where success depends on the hunter’s skill, patience, and conditions in the field.
What Makes a Successful Hog Hunt?
A successful thermal hog hunt in Georgia isn’t measured strictly by numbers. There are nights when:
We’ve butchered over 32 hogs—and the client still expected more
Fired over 1,000 rounds and harvested only 7
Taken a family out who harvested just one hog—and called it the best hunt of their lives
Every hunt is different. Weather, movement patterns, shooting ability, and timing all play a role. That’s why we believe the experience of the hunt is what truly matters.
Our Mission: Hog Control & Unforgettable Hunts
Our goal is twofold:
Help farmers with wild hog control and land management in Georgia
Provide hunters with a memorable, ethical hog hunting experience
The ability to hunt hogs at night with thermal optics and consistently create opportunities is something we take pride in. While we work hard to put hunters on hogs, we never guarantee numbers—only a real, exciting hunt.
If you’re looking for hog hunting in Americus, GA or anywhere in Southwest Georgia, Pig Problem Inc. is ready to guide you.
Wild Boar Hunting
📋 Field Report: Family Hog Hunting Session
Lead Guide: Clayton
The Crew: Father & Son (South Carolina)
Location: Americus, Georgia
Duration: 1-Night Hog Hunt Experience
Outcome: Successful Late-Night Harvest
There is a specific kind of bond that only happens in the South Georgia dirt at 2 in the morning. This week, Clayton led a Hog Hunt father and son who traveled down from South Carolina to experience Hog Hunting in the United States. While the night tested their patience, it ended with the kind of success that defines the Pig Problem experience.
Midnight Contact: High-Intensity Thermal Hog Hunting
The clock hit midnight just as Clayton’s thermal caught a heat signature on the move. It was a large single traveler, deep in the field. The duo moved into position with perfect discipline, executing a stealthy approach that brought them within range.
They took their chances, and the connection was clear, but this was a legendary "iron-hided" boar. He took the chances like a man, found his gear, and bolted into the thick timber before a recovery could be made. In Wild Boar Hunting, you quickly learn that these animals are some of the toughest, most resilient predators in the country.
The 3 AM Breakthrough: Hunting Wild Hogs
The hours between midnight and 3:00 AM are what separate the tourists from the hunters. While most of the world was asleep, this father-son team stayed on the grind, scanning the horizon for any sign of movement.
The persistence of a 1-Night Hog Hunt and a dedicated all-night session paid off. On a "Hail Mary" sweep of a final field, Clayton spotted another single Massive Wild Boar roaming by himself. This time, there was no escape. The team stayed composed, coordinated their chance, and got the boar right in the field.
Creating a Legacy: Family Hog Hunts in Georgia
We take pride in being the premier choice for Family Hog Hunts in Georgia. We provide a safe, high-tech environment where a dad can teach his son the tactical side of land management while using the best thermal gear available in the industry.
It was an "easy night with easy guys"—the kind of successful outing that proves why a Night Hog Hunt is the ultimate bonding experience for families traveling from all over the South. If your looking to book a Father - Son Hog Hunting Trip book Pig Problem Inc!
Wild Hog Hunting In Georgia
Guide: Clayton
Operation: Wild Hog Hunting
Location: Americus, Georgia
In the world of Wild Hog Hunting, persistence is everything. Last year, Clayton and this father-son hunting duo faced one of those rare, frustrating nights where the fields were completely quiet. But these were repeat guests who knew that Pig Problem Inc offers the Best Hog Hunting in the United States, and they came back to settle the score.
Turning Intel into Action
This year was a completely different story. Utilizing our thermal equipment, Clayton located movement early and often. The team executed three different stalks on two separate groups of wild hogs.
In Thermal Hog Hunting, the stalk is the most intense part of the experience. It’s a game of wind, noise discipline, and timing. While one approach didn't go our way, the team stayed focused and moved on to the next opportunity.
A Family Success in the Field
The persistence paid off. On the final two encounters, the team was able to get into position and take their chance. While the Hunting In Georgia brush is thick and the wildlife is fast, they successfully secured a solid harvest for the night.
Seeing a dad and his son share a successful moment in the field is what makes Hog Hunting in Georgia. They went from a blank slate last year to multiple high-adrenaline stalks this year. It just goes to show that while there are no guarantees in nature, our guides will work tirelessly to put you in the best position for success.
🐗 Why Pig Problem is the Premier Hog Hunting Choice in the U.S.
The Power of Professional Guiding A "blank" night can happen to anyone, but a professional guide like Clayton uses that data to improve the next hog hunting trip. We don't just walk into fields; we utilize thermal imaging and year-round scouting to manage the "problem" and provide a world-class experience.
Family-Friendly Adventures We pride ourselves on being an easy-going, professional operation. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a kid on your first Night Hog Hunt, we provide a safe, educational, and high-action environment that keeps people coming back year after year.
Father and Daughter Hog Hunting Trip
At Pig Problem Inc., we believe the future of Hog Hunting Georgia lies in passing down the traditions of land stewardship and wildlife management to the next generation. Last night, guide Clayton had the privilege of leading a special Father-Daughter Hunt for Matt and his daughter, Hazel.
Despite some early rain, the skies cleared perfectly for our Night Hog Hunting operation. Matt is the definition of a respectable sportsman, and his main goal for the evening was watching Hazel experience the thrill of Boar Hunting for the first time. The Joy in the field was contagious as the team utilized Thermal Hog Hunting technology to navigate the damp South Georgia terrain.
The night was a 'Great Success,' resulting in Hazel’s first confirmed pig recoveries. This type of Family Hunting experience is what makes our work so rewarding. We don't just focus on the numbers; we focus on providing a safe, educational, and exciting environment for families to contribute to Georgia's Feral Hog Management efforts. It was an honor to be part of Hazel's introduction to the sport, and we look forward to seeing this duo back in the field again soon.
Grandfather and Grandson Hog Hunt in Americus, GA
There’s nothing better than watching two generations team up for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting in Americus, Georgia. Guide Clayton led Tim and his 13-year-old grandson Hudson on a one-night Pig Problem Hog Hunt, and their goal was simple — help Hudson get his very first Pig.
They got on a single early in the night, but after two rounds the hog made it to the trees. Disappointing? Sure. But like any good Hog Hunters, they didn’t give up. Around 3 AM, they spotted another single out in the field — and this time, they made it count.
It took a few rounds, but they kept their cool, learned from their first setup, and stayed on aim until the pig went to sleep. Teamwork, patience, and persistence paid off — and Hudson got his first Wild Hog!
Hunting with Family makes every Hunting Trip unforgettable. Whether it’s a First-Time Hunter or a seasoned grandpa showing the ropes, Pig Problem offers the perfect South Georgia Adventure for every generation.
Youth Hog Hunting
This Hog Hunt was all about the experience. A father rode along to watch his two sons and their friend take on the Thermal Hunting, and they made it a night to remember.
After a quiet start, they spotted three Big Pigs. The stalk was tough, with deer all around and close calls that almost ruined the chance. Kaleb made the call to wait—and it paid off. Two Wild Hogs came back out, and the Young Hunters stayed patient and ready.
It wasn’t easy, but the group worked together and made it happen. A night full of heart and memories they’ll never forget.
