Thermal Night Hog Hunts

Hog Hunting In Americus, Ga

Thermal Hog Hunting

After Night 1, where the only pigs Clay found slipped into the woods before the hunters could even step out of the van, Night 2 delivered one of those classic “right place at the right time” moments that make Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia so addictive.

The hunters decided to call it for the night, but Clay kept checking fields on the way back — just in case. And good thing he did. On the very last field they planned to check, he spotted a Single Hog out on Wise Road, visible all the way through the railroad tracks.

Singles are some of the hardest pigs to get close to. They move differently, notice everything, and rarely stay in one spot. But somehow, Clay worked in tight and closed the distance to about 30 yards — a rare opportunity and a perfect setup for the hunters.

The hog made a hard push toward the trees, but the team stayed calm and steady, and the stalk ended successfully. After the slow, freezing first night, this moment felt like pure luck in the best possible way.

Clay said these hunters were awesome to guide Hog Hunting— patient, upbeat, and genuinely excited to be out in the fields. He even said that if they ever come back, he wants to be the one to take them out again. Nights like this show exactly what we love about Pig Problem Hunts:
unpredictable fields, smart pigs, good people, and unforgettable stories.

Another two-night Thermal Hunting Adventure in the books — and Night 2 closed it out with exactly the kind of challenge we live for.

Thermal Hog Hunting In Georgia

Night 2 of this Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clay was simple, clean, and exactly how a good stalk is supposed to feel.

After covering fields throughout the night, Clay and his hunters finally located a single hog moving alone. Lone pigs are some of the most unpredictable animals in the field — they travel differently, react differently, and don’t always hold still like larger sounders do.

Still, the team moved in quietly, using the wind and terrain to their advantage. A steady, patient approach put them right where they needed to be, and before long, the single was successfully taken — a solid ending to a Hog Hunt that required focus and good teamwork.

That’s the beauty of Hog Hunting in Georgia:
Some nights are fast-paced sounders, and some come down to a single animal and a perfectly executed stalk. Both are equally rewarding, and both highlight why Thermal Night Hunting is one of the most thrilling experiences outdoors.

Another successful night in the books with Guide Clay and Pig Problem — professional guides, real Thermal Gear, and Wild Hog Hunts that always bring something different.

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Some nights you cover miles before anything happens — and that’s exactly how Night 1 started for our South Georgia thermal hog hunt with Guide Clay.

We hit the first field at 8:44 PM and immediately spotted a familiar face: the same lone boar we stalked two nights earlier. Just like last time, he never stopped to feed, never slowed down, never looked back — he powered across the field like he had somewhere important to be. Before we could make a move, he was gone.

From there, we checked field after field, putting in the miles with nothing to show for it. Then we finally saw a pig… except it was casually strolling on the side of the road — the one place we can’t hunt. Figures, right? We drove past with a sour taste in our mouths and kept moving.

About an hour later, our new guide Jordan was checking fields for us and called with a lead on a place we call Honey Bun. It took about 45 minutes for him to get back to us, and by the time we arrived (around 3:20 AM), he thought the pigs had slipped back into the trees. He could barely make out shapes deep in the back, but wasn’t sure if they were pigs or shadows.

Still, we decided to stalk in — just hoping they were still out there. I was on this hunt too, getting footage, and the entire walk we couldn’t see or hear a thing. No movement, no heat signatures… nothing.

Then we made a sharp turn up onto higher ground — and there they were.
A sounder, right where they were supposed to be.

The hunters from upstate New York set up fast and handled business. Before long, five pigs were successfully rehomed(lol), and we loaded up the meat for the ride back to the Windsor so they could get a few hours of rest before Night 2.

Thermal hog hunting is unpredictable — some nights are quiet, some nights take patience, and some end with a surprise sounder waiting right over the hill.

Let’s see what Night 2 brings…

Hunting In Georgia

Pig Problem

Two Nights of Chaos, Calm, and Connection

A Memorable Hunt with Capt. Clayton

Not every Hog Hunt is about filling the cooler. For some folks, it’s about the full experience—the thrill of the stalk, the stillness of the night, the laughter, the challenges, and the stories that come out of it all. That’s exactly what this 2-Night Hog Hunt with Peanut Protector Capt. Clayton was about.

Night One:

Quiet Fields and Missed Chances

The first night was all about patience and persistence. We moved through the darkness with high hopes, but despite three stalks and plenty of effort, the Pigs managed to stay just out of reach. No opportunities, no close encounters—just quiet fields, long walks, and a chance to soak in the calm side of the Wild Hog Hunt.

While the action was slow, the energy of the group never faded. These hunters were out there for more than just results—they were soaking in every moment, taking in the sights, the sounds, and the full experience of Hunting Wild Hogs at Night.

Night Two:

A Little Chaos and a Lot of Fun

The second night brought a shift in momentum. We had two exciting stalks that brought us in close, and the team was ready. The first opportunity came out of nowhere—sparked by a moment of confusion over changed names in the OnX app—and just like that, the night turned around.

It was a night full of action, laughs, and the kind of adrenaline that keeps you coming back for more. As Capt. Clayton put it, “I love chaos just as much as I love calmness.” That balance—the extreme highs and lows—is what makes Hunting so real and rewarding.

It’s About More Than Just the Hunt

This Hunting Trip was a reminder that success in the field isn’t measured by numbers alone. It’s about the people, the moments, and the memories made along the way. And with this group, every mile walked and every minute spent under the stars was worth it.

Two Nights of Action:

Mario & Harry’s Hog Hunt with Pig Problem

At Pig Problem, we love seeing familiar faces return for another round of Night Hunting action. Longtime Hunters Mario and Harry recently joining us again for a 2 Night Hog Hunt, guided by Capt. Max on the first night and Zev on the second.

Night 1 with Capt. Max

Boar Hunting

Guide Capt Max led the way on the first night, covering plenty of ground in search of Wild Hogs. The conditions were just right, and the night started off strong with a couple of Coyotes spotted and a Solid Boar added to the tally. Mario and Harry know the drill, making for an efficient and enjoyable Hog Hunt.

Night 2 with Zev

Pig Hunting

Zev took over on the second night, and the streak continued with two more Hogs found. He had nothing but good things to say about Mario and Harry, calling them “cool dudes” who made the experience a great one. The night had an unexpected twist, though—on the way back, a flat tire slowed things down, and a loose brake caliper made for a bit more work than planned. But no worries, just another Hunting Adventure on the road!

These two nights were a great reminder of why we do what we do. The right company, solid Hunting Guides, and the thrill of Thermal Hunting always make for a memorable experience. Looking forward to seeing Mario and Harry back out Wild Hog Hunting again soon!

Three Nights of Hog Hunting with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting is never predictable, and no nights in the field are ever the same. Recently, Guide Clayton led a 3-Night Hog Hunt that proved just how unpredictable—and exciting—Chasing Wild Hogs can be.

Night 1:

A Momma and Her Piglets

Photo: Momma Down @PigProblem

The first night started off with some action. A Lone Sow and her litter of Piglets made the mistake of stepping into the Hunters’ sights. The team quickly got the mother, but the Piglets, small and fast, scattered into the brush. Shots were fired, but those little ones proved tough. The night was far from uneventful.

Night 2:

Dropping a Sounder

Fun Hunting

Photo: Hunting Wild Hogs @PigProblem

The second night delivered exactly what every Hog Hunter hopes for—a Sounder moving through the fields. The hunters wasted no time and managed to get 3 Wild Pigs, adding to the success of the Hunting Trip. CJ and Noah, feeling the adrenaline, decided to get up close for a more personal picture with their harvest. Excitement was high, and the night was a solid win for the team.

Night 3:

The Silent Fields

Thermal Hog Hunting isn’t always action-packed, and the third night was a reminder of that. Despite covering miles of ground, checking every hot spot, and staying out as long as possible, not a single Hog showed itself. Some nights, the Pigs just don’t cooperate, and this was one of those times. But as every Seasoned Hunter knows, persistence is key—because the next night could bring a Field Full of Hogs.

Three nights, three very different experiences, and another Unforgettable Hunt in the books. Whether the pigs are running or hiding, the thrill of the chase never gets old.

The Hunt

With patience and strategy, they spotted a Single Boar and moved in carefully. Using the tree canopy as a natural backdrop, they executed a mild stalk, closing the distance for the perfect chance. When the moment was right, they took the Wild Boar to a new home - an exciting and rewarding experience for the young hunter.

Hog Hunting is always an adventure, and every Wild Hog Hunt brings a new challenge. Recently, Guide Clayton led a 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt, giving his Hunters the full experience of Tracking Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness.

Night 1:

Success in the Field

The first night proved to be a productive one, as the team successfully Harvested a Hog. Using Thermal Equipment and strategic Hunting Stalking Techniques, they got into position for a clean chance, securing a hard-earned success. There’s nothing quite like the rush of spotting a hog in the dark and making the chance count!

Night 2:

The Quiet Side of Hunting

The second night was a different story. Despite covering ground and scanning the fields, no Hogs were spotted, and no chances were fired. It’s a reminder that Wild Hog Hunting isn’t always predictable—sometimes, the Wild Pigs stay just out of reach. But that’s what makes the hunt so exciting. You never know what the next outing will bring!

Two Nights in the Fields

Photo: You Can Run But These Guys Can Handle That… @PigProblem

When you book a hunt with Pig Problem, you’re signing up for an experience like no other - Stalking Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness, Scanning Fields Through High-Tech Thermal, and putting your skills to the test against one of the smartest, toughest animals in the South.

Recently, Guide Capt Clayton led a group of 5 Hunters on a Two-Night Hunting Adventure through the farmlands of Americus, Georgia. With clear skies and cool temperatures, conditions were looking good for some solid Wild Hog Action.

Night One:

Success in the Field

The first night kicked off strong. After a short briefing and a few practice chances to get comfortable with the gear, the Hunters loaded up and rolled out under the glow of a rising moon. It didn’t take long to find a Hog .

Patience paid off when the team spotted movement in the distance. A Quick Stalk brought them within range, and with a well-placed chance from 400 yards away, they had their first Wild Hog relocated to a new home. Cheers and handshakes followed, along with a few photos to capture the moment. With the night still young, the group pressed on, but the Pigs proved elusive for the rest of the Wild Hog Hunt.

Night Two:

The Challenge of the Hunt

The second night brought new challenges. Despite covering a lot of ground and spotting a few promising heat signatures, the Wild Pigs just weren’t cooperating. Sometimes they stayed just out of range, other times they vanished before a stalk could happen.

By 1 a.m., the group made the call to wrap up early. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting - Wild Animals sow a script. Some nights they’re everywhere, and others, they play hard to get. But that’s what makes it exciting.

A Hunt to Remember

Even without a second-night harvest, the experience is one to remember. The Hog Hunters got to put their skills to the test, see the land through a Thermal Equipment, and share the highs and lows of the Hog Hunt with good company. That’s what it’s all about - camaraderie, adventure, and the thrill of the chase.

Whether you’re a Seasoned Hunter or new to Night Hunting, Pig Problem Inc is ready to put you on Wild Hogs. Book your Guided Hog Hunt today and see if you have what it takes to outsmart the Toughest Hunting Game in South Georgia!

Late Night Adventure:

A Successful Hunt with Guide Clayoton

Photo: These Pigs Didn’t Stand A Chance @PigProblem

In an exhilarating Night of Hunting, Guide Captian Guide Captian Clayton led a team on their quest for Wild Pigs, showcasing the thrill and challenges of Hog Hunting. The evening began with an early start, where the Hunters quickly got on the trail of their quarry. After a long and strategic stalk, it became evident that the Pigs were aware of their presence and made their way into the trees.

As the night continued, the team’s perseverance paid off. Around 1 a.m., they spotted another group of Wild Hogs, leading to a successful culmination of their Hog Hunt. In a display of skill and teamwork, they managed to take down three Hogs before the night's excitement wound down. Despite their efforts, no additional Pigs were sighted for the remainder of the night, and the Hog Hunters decided to wrap things up at 2 a.m.

The experience offered by Peanut Protector Guide Capt. Clayton held great promise for the Wild Hog Hunters, and everyone involved hoped they had a fantastic time enjoyed in The Great Outdoors. The team here at Pig Problem Inc is committed to providing memorable and Thrilling Hunting Experiences, and we genuinely look forward to welcoming these Night Hunters back for more adventures in the future.
