Night one came and went without a single Pig in sight. Sometimes that’s just how it goes — long hours, good company, and a reminder that success in Hog Hunting isn’t guaranteed.

But by night two, things finally turned around. Zev and his hunters located a sounder of about ten pigs over on Pryor Road. He got the group in close for the perfect setup, and when it was time to fire, they managed to drop one. Not the whole sounder, but enough to bring home some meat and a story to tell.

They later spotted more pigs over at Bazemoor, but the group couldn’t quite close the distance before the pigs slipped away into the night. Even so, everyone got to see what South Georgia Thermal Hunting is all about — long nights, fast decisions, and plenty of excitement once the pigs show up.

Guiding isn’t always easy, but Zev kept things moving and made sure everyone had a good time. Sometimes the pigs win, and that’s what keeps us all coming back for more. That’s the name of the game of Hunting.

Some Wild Hog Hunts come easy — and some make you work for it. Last night’s South Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Hank was the kind that tested patience and skill, but ended in a solid win.

The night started with a single Wild Hog spotted across a massive ditch in the first field. With no clean shot, the crew circled around, only to find the hog had slipped out of sight. A little later, Hank spotted two more pigs feeding near the road. He eased past them to avoid spooking the group, looped back around, and pulled into the field — but once again, the hogs had vanished.

That’s when persistence kicked in. The team returned to the first field and finally caught sight of a group of pigs mixed in with a few deer. As the deer bolted, it almost set the pigs off, but Hank moved fast, found an angle, and lined up the shots. In a tense few seconds, both hunters connected, dropping two hogs before the sounder scattered. That’s what Hog Hunting is all about!

It was a long night, but a successful one — and a reminder that the Best Hunts are earned through patience, teamwork, and grit.

Some nights, it only takes one pig to make the whole Boar Hunt worth it. Guide Clayton headed out with Marianne and her husband for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting In Georgia, and despite the bright moonlight, the conditions lined up just right for a smooth stalk.

With heavy cloud coverage rolling in, the fields got dark enough to make a quiet approach possible. Around 10 p.m., the group spotted a single Wild Hog and began their stalk under the cover of the clouds. The timing couldn’t have been better — full moons usually make hogs wary and harder to sneak up on, but the darkness gave them the edge.

Marianne and her husband were calm, patient, and easy to work with — the kind of hunters that make every Hog Hunting Trip enjoyable. Between laughs and stories, Harold shared that he once bought a pig thinking it was a mini potbelly, but after seven years it grew to nearly 500 pounds! Not long into the night, Hank spotted a Sounder of Wild Hogs over 1,000 yards away in the second field. With the wind working against them, he made the call to pull out and circle around to a different access point — a smart move that set them up for success.

After gearing up and walking in from the opposite side, the team closed the gap and got eyes on the pigs. The stalk went smoothly, the guys called their shots, and within moments, four hogs were down. The result? A cooler packed full of meat and a Boar Hunt to remember.

This two-night Georgia Hog Hunt was a great example of how Pig Problem can accommodate large groups hunts. Night 1
Clayton’s group covered multiple fields throughout the night. Activity was light, but patience paid off. In the final field of the night, the team spotted a lone hog and made a clean stalk to drop it. It was a quiet but rewarding start for the group’s first night.

Meanwhile, Hank’s crew had a lively night with plenty of wildlife movement. They sat at numerous fields, and while no pigs turned up, they did manage to get a coyote while scanning for hogs. The hunters were easygoing and appreciative, making it an enjoyable night in the fields.

Night 2
Both guides headed back out with the same hunters for round two. Clayton’s night mirrored the first—slow activity, but another successful stalk. His group connected on a single hog, and everyone got in on the action, making it a great team effort. They also saw another hog later in the night, but it slipped away after being spooked by the van.

Hank’s group kept their spirits high as they checked several fields throughout the night. Their persistence paid off when they finally found pigs near a cornfield. After a quiet stalk, the crew knocked one down, adding some meat to the cooler and smiles all around.

Across both groups, the hunters ended their two-night adventure with four hogs and one coyote—and plenty of stories to take home.

Night 2

The second night of this 2 Night Hog Hunt with Pig Problem brought plenty of excitement. Early in the evening, the crew encountered a single hog and got the night started on a high note. Not long after, three more hogs were spotted in the distance, leading to a long stalk across the field. Although those slipped away, the action wasn’t over yet.

Later in the night, a sounder appeared but was spooked by deer before the hunters could move into position. Still, patience and persistence paid off. Around 3 a.m., Guide Kaleb returned to the same field with the group and, just as expected, the hogs were back. After a careful approach, the hunters successfully closed out the night with three more hogs, including a Large Boar.

When the dust settled, the group wrapped up the Boar Hunt with five hogs total over two nights of Thermal Hog Hunting in Americus, Georgia. It was the perfect reminder that success in the field comes down to timing, patience, and determination.

This Wild Hog Hunt started off slow, but once the deer started moving heavy, the action picked up. Not long after 1am, they spotted a small sounder of pigs. They made the stalk, got in range, and they got big sow. Guide Kaleb scanned for others that might’ve been hit, but nothing turned up.

Later in the night, they found another Wild Hog, but it kept moving and slipped onto another property before we could get on it.

Great group of guys to have out — good laughs and a solid Thermal Hog Hunt.

2 Nights Of Hog Hunting

Night 1:

The first night kicked off strong. Deer were everywhere, and the energy with this group of hunters was electric. While stalking a Single Hog near the treeline, three more stepped out just 50 yards in front of us—and the guys did exactly what they came here to do. All three Pigs went down. The night was filled with jokes, laughter, and stories we won’t forget.

Night 2:

The second night was quieter. We only spotted one Wild Hog, but it stayed on the move and never gave us a clean shot. Even so, there was no shortage of action—we had deer moving all around us, a bobcat came in close, and even a coyote almost gave us a chance before slipping into the trees.

At the end of the day, it wasn’t just about Hunting Hogs—it was about the memories. Two nights in the field with plenty of laughs, good company, and unforgettable moments.

First Time Hunting

Guided by Kaleb, this Hog Hunt began under a heavy downpour, but we had our eyes on a field just outside the storm. We waited there for a bit, watching plenty of deer moving through. Once the skies cleared, it was time to make our move.

Not long after, we spotted a Sounder in the distance. They trekked through thick, sticky mud for a long stalk before finally getting set up. The effort paid off — one young Hunter achieved his very first harvest on his very First Hunt. The excitement on his face said it all — he was hooked.

The night wasn’t over yet. In another field, we found four more Pigs and began another careful stalk. They were on the move, but the hunter still managed to make solid contact before they disappeared into the trees. The rest of the night brought more deer sightings, but the highlight remained that first success — a memory that will stick with him for years to come. We hope to see him back for more Thermal Hog Hunting!

This Hog Hunt was all about the experience. A father rode along to watch his two sons and their friend take on the Thermal Hunting, and they made it a night to remember.

After a quiet start, they spotted three Big Pigs. The stalk was tough, with deer all around and close calls that almost ruined the chance. Kaleb made the call to wait—and it paid off. Two Wild Hogs came back out, and the Young Hunters stayed patient and ready.

It wasn’t easy, but the group worked together and made it happen. A night full of heart and memories they’ll never forget.
