There is no higher compliment in the world of Hog Hunting Georgia than when clients travel thousands of miles to hunt with you again. This week, we were honored to welcome back David and Rob, longtime friends from Alaska, for a specialized two-night management project.

The first night was an absolute adrenaline rush. Utilizing our most advanced Thermal Hog Hunting gear, we located a massive sounder moving through a primary agricultural zone. David and Rob demonstrated the precision we’ve come to expect from them, successfully recovering two large sows and significantly impacting the local feral population.

While Wild Boar Hunting was the primary mission, the night also offered several high-speed encounters with local predators. We love when our hunts turn into Coyote Hunting! We engaged in two 'go-rounds' with coyotes that managed to evade us in the thick South Georgia brush, but the action kept the team on high alert all night. It’s always a 'Great Success' when you combine Elite Night Hog Hunting results with the camaraderie of returning friends. We are looking forward to what Night 2 has in store!

At Pig Problem Inc., our mission is rooted in effective Feral Hog Management and protecting Georgia’s agricultural assets. During the second night of a recent management project led by guide Hank, our team demonstrated the efficiency required to handle high-density Wild Hog populations.

The evening began with the identification of a large sounder utilizing a key sector of the property. Recognizing the opportunity for a significant impact, our team executed a tactical repositioning. By shifting our approach to the south side of the field, we were able to conduct a stealthy, low-profile stalk.

Using professional-grade Thermal Hog Hunting technology, our group successfully closed the distance. The resulting encounter was a major success for the landowner, with nine hogs successfully recovered in a single round. This level of efficiency is what defines our approach to Hog Hunting in Georgia. Night 2 – Blog Post:

Night 2 of this 2-Night Large Group Thermal Hog Hunt with Pig Problem reinforced one of the most important lessons in hunting: patience wins.

Both guides, Hank and Clay, covered ground early in the night, checking multiple fields and staying alert for returning activity. Conditions remained challenging, with bright moonlight and increased nighttime traffic, making Wild Hogs extra cautious and quick to react.

Hank focused on a field that showed promise the night before. Rather than rushing the opportunity, he made the strategic decision to wait the hogs out, anticipating they would return if undisturbed. Sure enough, after nearly an hour, the hogs reappeared — but before the stalk could fully develop, passing headlights caused the pigs to lift their heads and notice movement in the open field. They slipped away once again.

Instead of pushing the issue, Hank stayed patient.

Nearly an hour and a half later, the hogs returned for a second time — offering a rare redemption opportunity. This time, everything came together. The setup was clean, the timing was right, and two hogs were successfully recovered, proving that patience and restraint can make all the difference in Thermal Hog Hunting.

On Clay’s side of the split Hog Hunt, opportunities presented themselves as well. Clay located multiple sounders and put the hunters in position for solid opportunities. Despite good setups, the hogs made it into cover before recoveries could be made — a tough outcome, but one that every experienced hunter understands is part of real hunting.

Throughout both nights, the group stayed positive and engaged, understanding that success isn’t guaranteed, especially under bright moonlight and shifting conditions.

Night two of this two-night South Georgia Hog Hunt with Pig Problem was one for the books.

Guide Clayton and his Hunters were locked in from the start — moving with precision and patience that made it look like they’d done this a thousand times before. The result? Three Wild Hogs down under the South Georgia night sky.

A One-Night Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton

At Pig Problem, we see all kinds of Hog Hunts—some quick and easy, others that turn into an all-night pursuit. On a recent 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, Guide Clayton led a group of Hunters who were eager, ready, and, most importantly, willing to listen. That combination usually leads to success, and this Wild Hog Hunt was no exception.

The Night of Hunting started with two go-arounds. The first encounter was a Single Hog, a good warm-up for the group to get dialed in with their pew pews and Thermal. They executed perfectly, making a clean shot and getting their first Hog Down.

But the real excitement came later. At around 2 a.m., Clayton spotted a Sounder of Pigs moving through the fields. This was the moment the group had been waiting for. With precision and patience, they followed Clayton’s guidance, setting up for a well-coordinated shot. When the green light was given, chaos erupted as Multiple Hogs Dropped in the field.

Clayton had nothing but good things to say about this group. “Guys were super easy and listened to everything I said,” he noted. That attention to detail paid off, as they walked away with a successful night of Hog Control and an Unforgettable Hunting Experience.

Night 1:

The night started slow. Field after field, the Thermal Scanners came up empty. At times, it looked like the night might end without a single shot fired. But if there’s one thing about Hog Hunting, it’s that things can change in an instant.

On the very last field of the night, a Wild Pig finally stepped out. The team moved into position, but just as they were setting up, a group of deer spooked and bolted. For a second, it looked like the opportunity might slip away—but luck was on their side. The deer ran off in the opposite direction, and the Pig stayed put just long enough for there to be success. One Hog, and what looked like a lost cause turned into a Successful Hunt.

The second night started off much like the first. The first field checked was empty, but instead of moving on immediately, the team decided to wait. Sometimes, patience is key.

Just as they were about to leave, movement flickered on the Thermal. Hogs had finally moved in. The Hunters got set up and took their moment, getting a lovely surprise as the rest of the Sounder scattered into the night. Another great success.

The first night started with promise as Hank’s group got a hog in the first field. But from there, the Pigs weren’t giving up their positions easily. The group searched all night, covering ground without another solid opportunity—until the very last run of the night. That’s when Max called Hank’s group in on a final stalk, leading to another Hog having a new home. In total, the combined groups took 3 Hogs and a Coyote for the night.

Night Two:

Beavers, Bunnies, and a Sounder

The second night had its fair share of action—just not all from Wild Pigs. Max got a couple of beavers relocated, and Hank’s crew even got a got at a rabbit. But when it came time for Hogs, both groups worked together on a split stalk, one last Piggy to be relocated to a new home for the Thermal Hunt.
