This 1-Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia delivered fast-paced action and strong results from start to finish.
The night began as a coordinated hunt alongside another guide, where a sounder was located early. With the full group working together, a careful stalk and strategic setup led to multiple successful recoveries in the first encounter.
After splitting up to continue covering ground, additional hog activity was quickly located. A single Wild Hog was recovered in the next field, followed later by a small sounder that produced further recoveries.
With steady movement, multiple setups, and continuous action throughout the night, the Hog Hunt produced strong results before midnight and wrapped up as one of the most productive One-Night Hunts of the Hog Hunting Season.
This Wild Hog Hunt was a perfect example of how teamwork, experience, and consistent effort lead to successful Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia.

The second night of this 2 Night Hog Hunt with Pig Problem brought plenty of excitement. Early in the evening, the crew encountered a single hog and got the night started on a high note. Not long after, three more hogs were spotted in the distance, leading to a long stalk across the field. Although those slipped away, the action wasn’t over yet.
Later in the night, a sounder appeared but was spooked by deer before the hunters could move into position. Still, patience and persistence paid off. Around 3 a.m., Guide Kaleb returned to the same field with the group and, just as expected, the hogs were back. After a careful approach, the hunters successfully closed out the night with three more hogs, including a Large Boar.
When the dust settled, the group wrapped up the Boar Hunt with five hogs total over two nights of Thermal Hog Hunting in Americus, Georgia. It was the perfect reminder that success in the field comes down to timing, patience, and determination.

Guide Kaleb led a determined crew on a 2 Night Hog Hunt packed with action and persistence.
Night one brought a few close encounters. After a careful stalk on a Lone Hog, all three Hog Hunters connected—but the smart Boar made a quick escape into the treeline. Later, a Sounder was spotted on the move, but they crossed into an area out of reach. The rest of the night was full of deer sightings and high spirits.
Night two was a different story. Right at dusk, a Big Sow stepped into the field. A clean approach led to a solid harvest. Later, they crossed paths with the same Small Sounder from the night before—this time getting the upper hand and picking up two more Wild Hogs to end the Thermal Hog Hunt.
Slower movement capped off the night, but the hunters stayed sharp and positive. Kaleb said it best—great attitudes, great aim, and a Thermal Hunt to remember.

As the sun set and the temperature dropped, the excitement began. They set off into the darkness, where the call of nature was punctuated by the occasional sound of Coyotes. They managed to connect with one early on, but despite there best efforts, they couldn't recover it. Then they saw a second Coyote, they set up and took shots on it. They took him down! Wild Hog Hunt turning into a Thermal Coyote Hunt.

However, as the clock struck 2 AM, they noticed a significant shift – the Wild Hogs started moving! With Max leading the charge, they successfully thinned out a Sounder of 12 Hogsdeep in the brush. They were to get there hands on two Wild Pigs, the rush of the hunt was undeniable. Nothing compares to that moment of anticipation while waiting for your shot in the quiet of the night!
Night two brought a different challenge. With Clayton at the helm, they stayed vigilant throughout the night and spotted one Wild Pig. This is the reality of Hog Hunting; it’s not always about the quantity but the thrill of the chase. Hunting Wild Hogs is an unpredictable game – it’s all about being in the right place at the right time.

Our talented guide, Hank, took a thrilling 4-man group out for an unforgettable Thermal Hog Hunting adventure under the stunning Southwest Georgia stars. The excitement was palpable as hopes ran high, but these savvy Hogs weren’t ready to make an appearance. That’s when Guide Hank worked his magic, calling in a Coyote that darted into view. What a rush! The encounter added an exhilarating twist to an already successful night.
