Chris got on multiple groups and dropped 4 total for the night. Chris has hunted with us multiple times and drives up from the Keys to hunt his property in georgia and hunt hogs with us. Planting season is here so we have been pushing the limits on our Hog Hunts.

We offer electronic hearing protection also for our hunters with hearing loss.

300 WSM Thermal Hog Hunt

If this rifle could talk. I lost it in a river after a bear hunt in Alaska, and found it a week later. I killed an elk with it at 275 yards off hand in Colorado. I cut the barrel down to 18 inches and mounted a Rugged Micro 30 suppressor to it in the short configuration. I pretty much leave the rifle stock as it is an everyday hunters gun. I did find a Tikka CTR T3X stock that is left hand in the USA that I will be changing out to. I am building a Curtis Custom Valor Quick change barrel with more info when it is done.

I tried to line a few hogs up when I shot. I was not going for vitals I was shooting for reaction. Some customers feel 7.62x39 isn't enough but it is plenty. I have used a lot of different calibers all the way down to Subsonic 22LR. Hitting them with 300 WSM does help but there is no such thing as a magic round. I am grateful for the business I am in and the experience I have gained.

We worked for these two sows. the first encounter was a rush with them running away from us but we were able to trop this small sow. Then then next field a lone sow was in the field late in the morning. Some nights are late some are early but we push through to get the job done.

One big boar down last night. Hunts have been long and slow the last few nights. But Clayton was able to get this lone wild boar down. Grateful for all our hunters putting in the long hours to seal the deal.

Long Night of Hog Hunting out of Americus, GA. Bad Weather had the hog movement down to a minimum. We tried, but with the forecast it was best to end it. Hunting in a thunder storm is dumb, we do our best to hunt if you make the trip. We can always reschedule a hunt even if we try. Grateful for our customers that we get to take hunting.
