There’s nothing better than watching two generations team up for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting in Americus, Georgia. Guide Clayton led Tim and his 13-year-old grandson Hudson on a one-night Pig Problem Hog Hunt, and their goal was simple — help Hudson get his very first Pig.

They got on a single early in the night, but after two rounds the hog made it to the trees. Disappointing? Sure. But like any good Hog Hunters, they didn’t give up. Around 3 AM, they spotted another single out in the field — and this time, they made it count.

It took a few rounds, but they kept their cool, learned from their first setup, and stayed on aim until the pig went to sleep. Teamwork, patience, and persistence paid off — and Hudson got his first Wild Hog!

Hunting with Family makes every Hunting Trip unforgettable. Whether it’s a First-Time Hunter or a seasoned grandpa showing the ropes, Pig Problem offers the perfect South Georgia Adventure for every generation.

You never know how a Hog Hunt in Georgia will unfold — and this one proved that patience always pays off.

Guide Capt. Clayton led this 1 Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia, and after spotting a group of pigs around midnight, the team began a careful stalk. Just as they were getting set up to take the shot, the pigs slipped right back into the trees and never came back out.

But the night wasn’t over yet. A few hours later, persistence paid off when they found a single Wild Hog out in the open. Each hunter took one chance — and that was all it took. They got the pig instantly and never moved again.

That’s the beauty of Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia — no matter how unpredictable the night starts, one good opportunity can turn it all around. Great success!

Some Wild Hog Hunts come easy — and some make you work for it. Last night’s South Georgia Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Hank was the kind that tested patience and skill, but ended in a solid win.

The night started with a single Wild Hog spotted across a massive ditch in the first field. With no clean shot, the crew circled around, only to find the hog had slipped out of sight. A little later, Hank spotted two more pigs feeding near the road. He eased past them to avoid spooking the group, looped back around, and pulled into the field — but once again, the hogs had vanished.

That’s when persistence kicked in. The team returned to the first field and finally caught sight of a group of pigs mixed in with a few deer. As the deer bolted, it almost set the pigs off, but Hank moved fast, found an angle, and lined up the shots. In a tense few seconds, both hunters connected, dropping two hogs before the sounder scattered. That’s what Hog Hunting is all about!

It was a long night, but a successful one — and a reminder that the Best Hunts are earned through patience, teamwork, and grit.

Some nights, it only takes one pig to make the whole Boar Hunt worth it. Guide Clayton headed out with Marianne and her husband for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting In Georgia, and despite the bright moonlight, the conditions lined up just right for a smooth stalk.

With heavy cloud coverage rolling in, the fields got dark enough to make a quiet approach possible. Around 10 p.m., the group spotted a single Wild Hog and began their stalk under the cover of the clouds. The timing couldn’t have been better — full moons usually make hogs wary and harder to sneak up on, but the darkness gave them the edge.

Marianne and her husband were calm, patient, and easy to work with — the kind of hunters that make every Hog Hunting Trip enjoyable. Between laughs and stories, Harold shared that he once bought a pig thinking it was a mini potbelly, but after seven years it grew to nearly 500 pounds! Safe to say, he’s had a bit of Hog Hunting experience from both sides of the fence.

It was a fun and memorable night for everyone — proof that sometimes, one good pig and great company are all you need for a successful Wild Hog Hunt.

There’s nothing like the rush of a Georgia Hog Hunt under the stars — and this crew showed up ready for it. With Guide Hank behind the wheel and the thermals fired up, the Wild Hog Hunt was on.

These guys came back eager and ready to make the most of their 1 Night Guided Thermal Hog Hunt. Their mission? Fill that cooler.

Not long into the night, Hank spotted a Sounder of Wild Hogs over 1,000 yards away in the second field. With the wind working against them, he made the call to pull out and circle around to a different access point — a smart move that set them up for success.

After gearing up and walking in from the opposite side, the team closed the gap and got eyes on the pigs. The stalk went smoothly, the guys called their shots, and within moments, four hogs were down. The result? A cooler packed full of meat and a Boar Hunt to remember.

Another successful night in the books with Pig Problem, where every Thermal Hunt brings the thrill of the chase, good company, and plenty of pork to go around.

Night 1
Clayton’s group covered multiple fields throughout the night. Activity was light, but patience paid off. In the final field of the night, the team spotted a lone hog and made a clean stalk to drop it. It was a quiet but rewarding start for the group’s first night.

Meanwhile, Hank’s crew had a lively night with plenty of wildlife movement. They sat at numerous fields, and while no pigs turned up, they did manage to get a coyote while scanning for hogs. The hunters were easygoing and appreciative, making it an enjoyable night in the fields.

Night 2
Both guides headed back out with the same hunters for round two. Clayton’s night mirrored the first—slow activity, but another successful stalk. His group connected on a single hog, and everyone got in on the action, making it a great team effort. They also saw another hog later in the night, but it slipped away after being spooked by the van.

Hank’s group kept their spirits high as they checked several fields throughout the night. Their persistence paid off when they finally found pigs near a cornfield. After a quiet stalk, the crew knocked one down, adding some meat to the cooler and smiles all around.

The Final Count:
Across both groups, the hunters ended their two-night adventure with four hogs and one coyote—and plenty of stories to take home.

Our latest Hog Hunting Trip in Americus, GA was led by guides Clayton and Hank on a split Boar Hunt. While it may look like the same Wild Hog from different angles, it was actually three different hogs taken during Clayton’s part of the night. The Thermal Hunt started off slow, but as soon as the moon dropped around 2 a.m., the animals began to move and opportunities opened up. Every shot taken resulted in a hog on the ground — a true sign of a successful night.

Meanwhile, on Hank’s side of the Hog Hunt, the group had a productive outing but decided to call it a night early, heading in around 4 a.m. Even with no photos, it was still a solid Wild Hog Hunt and a reminder that every group’s pace is different.

Wild hogs continue to cause major damage to farmland across South Georgia, and nights like this show why Guided Thermal Hog Hunting in Americus is such an important experience. When most people think of a bachelor party, they picture Las Vegas or the beach. But these young guys had a different idea: they wanted a real adventure and came down to Americus, Georgia for a Guided Hog Hunt with Pig Problem.

The night started off quiet, with no hogs in sight for hours. But just before sunrise, around 5 a.m., guide Clayton spotted a Sounder of Hogs across the field. The group made a careful stalk through cut corn — a tricky and noisy terrain that can make it tough to stay undetected. Despite the challenge, they managed to close the distance and set up for a shot.

The hard work paid off. The hunters were able to Protect Local Farmland from Destructive Wild Hogs while making Unforgettable Bachelor Party Hunting memories. Nights like this are exactly why so many groups are choosing Georgia Hog Hunting Trips over traditional bachelor party destinations.

NIGHT 2

Night two of this 2-Night Hog Hunt was one for the books. After taking his first hog on the opening night, the birthday hunter added even more memories to his 21st celebration.

The evening started off slow, with deer moving through the fields. Then, an armadillo made its way across the field, giving the hunter the chance to check another animal off his list. Not long after, a coyote appeared within 100 yards, and with a quick setup, that one was added as well.

But the focus of the night was still on finding hogs. Around 4 a.m., Guide Kaleb spotted a sounder of pigs over a mile away, confirmed on onX. The team adjusted quickly, moving out and around to get into position on the field. The stalk paid off—one hog went down in the open field, while another disappeared into thick cover and couldn’t be recovered.

By the end of the night, the hunters were calling it the “Georgia trifecta”—a Wild Boar, an armadillo, and a coyote all on the same hunt. It was the perfect finish to this Guided Hog Hunt in South Georgia, filled with late-night action, unique encounters, and memories that will last a lifetime.
